I have been using the Lightroom 6 in an old MacBook for quite some time. However, the Macbook is aging and is due for a replacement. Does Lightroom 6 work for the new MacBook Pro ? You are spending more money in the long run and why just so you can get minor upgrades now and again.

Back to top. User’s post on August 3, I’m having the same problem. Adobe Lightroom 6 locks up and fails when moving from the library mode to the develop mode.
It is completely unresponsive and does not allow you to do anything, but shut it down. It makes it totally impossible to process images.

I and other Lightroom users are having trouble launching the program because the program cannot use the database file in the My Pictures folder and I get the following error box: I can use Lightroom 5. Run Lightroom 5. This is unnecessarily time consuming.
I am having the same issue and the Adobe sight says to disable to GPU option in performance but when I try it simply does the same thing and says “program not responding”.
